Wellington College's 1st XV had an excellent start to the 84th Quadrangular Tournament, winning 66-12 over Wanganui Collegiate. In the earlier game, Nelson College just pipped Christ's College in the last minute, winning 25-24 so Wellington College will meet Nelson College in the final at 12.45pm this Wednesday. |

 The Final total raised for the World Vision programme in Ibwera, Tanzania is $57,584.41 closely matching previous years' totals raised by our annual runathon. Congratulations to Jeremy McLeod and Ollie Harcourt, both of Year 12 and Team Bayleys, who ran the most laps - 264 each in total.  These students who raised the most money went into a draw for the prize of a Compaq Laptop computer kindly donated by LV Martin & Son: Toby Kelly, Tom Green, Tom Bradshaw, Jamie Pollock, Luke Pollock, Rayhan Langdana, Nick Fenten, AJ Myers, Kaliash Bahriathan, Jimmy Feeney Toebes, David Ravine and the lucky winner of the laptop who was Thomas Leggatt.  Congratulations to Team Ballentynes (9RD, 10MW, 11LS, 11ZS, 12TW & 13SN - led by Tupou, Tamati and Johnny) who raised the most funds.
We would like to acknowledge and thank all the students, staff and parents who participated in and contributed to this event. The Headmaster, Roger Moses, has been granted a sabbatical by the Ministry of Education in recognition of his long service as a leading Principal. He will be away during the third term and will return at the start of Term 4. He will take this opportunity to visit a number of schools in NZ and overseas.
We all wish Roger safe travels and hope that both he and his wife Ros take this opportunity to relax and recharge their batteries. |

Wellington College is fortunate to be hosting two visiting High School Rugby Teams from Osaka, Japan which are touring New Zealand in July of this year. The tour has developed through an association between Wellington College and the Keiko Gakuen High School. Sunday 18th JulyThe Keiko Gakuen Teams will arrive at Firth Hall at 5pm to be met by the Wellington College 2nd and 3rd XV host families. Monday 19th July8am - Billets returned to school 10.30am - Matches Kickoff on Nr 1 and Nr 2 fields. 2nd and 3rd XV vs Keiko Gakuen Teams (Matches Played at same time) 12.30pm - Aftermatch Function in Firth Hall - Parents are most welcome to attend Keiko Gakuen Rugby |

Year 9 DAY OF AWESOMENESS - Friday 2nd July STARTS 9am
The last day of school will be one in which Year 9 Form Classes will be competing at various activities in the morning - Drama, Quiz, Multi-Sport..etc. This will be followed by the Cultural Showcase in the afternoon - a display of Y9 Art modules and performances by all Y9 Music students.
The day has been organised by Year 13 Peer Support leaders and Year 9 Form Captains and Student Reps.
AWESOME in Participation. AWESOME in Teamwork. AWESOME in Attitude.
Reminders:
- This event is not dependent on the weather.
- Wear regular, full school uniform to school.
- Arrive at the Sports Centre by 9am to get changed.
- Bring: PE uniform, drink bottle, lunch, Form Class accessories, your Awesome Attitude.
